At Juventus 2-0, Inter Won The Derby D'Italia

JAKARTA - Inter Milan won the Derby d'Italia with a score of 2-0 over Juventus, in the Italian League match which was played at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Milan, local Sunday or Monday morning WIB.

Thanks to the additional three points, Inter, who are in second place in the Italian League standings, have the same collection of points as leaders AC Milan, which is 40 points. While Juve are stuck in fifth position, with 33 points, according to the official Italian League page records.

Milan will only play match week 18 against Cagliari on Monday night.

The Nerazzurri's first goal was scored by former Juventus player Arturo Vidal with a Nicolo Barella cross in the 12th minute. Barella then got his name on the scoreboard as he doubled Inter's lead in the 52nd minute.

Juve became the first team to have the first chance to score. Adrien Rabiot fired a shot that was blocked by goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, but Federico Chiesa was in an offside position when he fed Cristiano Ronaldo.

But it was Inter who broke the deadlock when Barella sent in a left-footed cross that passed Lautaro Martinez, to be struck by Vidal's header. It was Vidal's first goal for Inter in the Italian League.

Juve goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny then had to knock out Romelu Lukaku's shot, while Martinez's effort grabbed the bouncing ball over the crossbar.

Lukaku again had another chance to outwit Giorgio Chiellini, but the veteran Juve defender was able to clear the ball in the second tackle, and Martinez fired another inaccurate shot.

Ronaldo fired a few shots from distance, but the Bianconeri's play was too easy to read. It was Barella who appeared dominant in midfield and created another good opportunity when Szczesny caught Lukaku's strike.

Inter doubled their lead after the break. Andrea Bastoni fired in a precise pass, for Barella to chase after Barella who ran away from the Juve defenders before throwing a shot into the top of the visitors' net.

Juve coach Andrea Pirlo made three substitutions at once, and Weston McKennie almost made an impact when his header was tipped over by Handanovic.

Martinez ran through half the pitch but his shot went wide again and Rodrigo Bentancur's effort was kept out. At that stage Juve seemed to have lost their ideas and enthusiasm.

The only last good chance came to Federico Chiesa, whose shot was blocked by keeper Handanovic in the 87th minute.
