Today Is The Last Limit, Ministry Of Manpower: Companies Must Pay THR

JAKARTA - Director General of Manpower and Safety and Health Supervision of the Ministry of Manpower, Haiyani Rumondang said, Saturday, April 15, was the last day of payment of holiday allowances by the company to its workers.

This deadline refers to the date of the 2023 Eid Al-Fitr national calendar which falls on April 22.

He also appealed to companies that had not paid the THR to pay it immediately according to applicable regulations.

"Today is the last day the company is obliged to pay THR for workers/laborers," said Haiyani, as quoted by Antara, Saturday.

Meanwhile, Haiyani and his staff from the Ministry of Manpower held unannounced inspections (Sidak) of several companies to ensure that THR had been paid to employees.

Some of these companies include PT Dawee Printing Indonesia in Bekasi and Mitra 10 Percetakan Negara and PT Dunkindo Lestari in Central Jakarta on Saturday.

"The inspection is carried out to ensure that the company pays the 2023 Religious THR in accordance with regulations," said Haiyani.

Haiyani said that the 2023 Religious THR must be given according to regulations, namely to be paid to workers no later than D-7 before religious holidays.

Meanwhile, from the results of the inspection, the Manpower Supervisory Team found that the companies had paid THR to their workers.

"Some were paid today, some were paid yesterday, some were even paid on the 10th (April) ago. It was all in accordance with the provisions of the THR," said Haiyani.

Previously, the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah emphasized that entrepreneurs who do not pay or pay the 2023 Eid Allowance (THR) payment will be subject to sanctions.

Furthermore, Ida said, the imposition of sanctions on companies would refer to Government Regulation (PP) Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages.

Which, in the regulation, the heaviest sanctions for companies that do not comply with applicable regulations related to THR payments will be frozen.

"The imposition of sanctions is in the form of written warnings, restrictions on business activities, temporary suspension or part of production equipment to freezing business activities," he said.

Therefore, Ida hopes that no company will be subject to sanctions for not paying THR or paying THR installments to its workers or laborers.
