Doni Monardo's Message For The Handling Of West Sulawesi Earthquake Refugees
JAKARTA - Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Doni Monardo, asked that the handling of evacuation of residents affected by the West Sulawesi (Sulbar) Earthquake be properly and properly addressed.
Doni asked for a separation between vulnerable groups and young people. This is done to prevent transmission and to anticipate the potential risk of spreading COVID-19 in refugee camps.
"In Refuge, it is hoped that there will be separation between vulnerable groups and those who are young. We must protect the vulnerable groups because of COVID-19, ”said Doni, Sunday, January 17.
What is meant by vulnerable groups are those who are elderly, people who have comorbid or comorbid diseases, pregnant women, nursing mothers, disabilities, toddlers and children.
In addition, Doni Monardo, who also serves as Chair of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, also provided support in the form of an antigen rapid test tool to check and trace the transmission of COVID-19 in the evacuation environment.
"Later there will be an antigen swab process, to ensure that refugees are not exposed to COVID-19," said Doni.
In this case, if there are refugee residents who are reactive with antigen swabs, they will immediately get follow-up from the local Health Office.
