"For me, the existence of music artists who produce songs such as Pamungkas NM is part of the spirit of Indonesian music and Detection Production always wants to be part of the spirit of Indonesian music," added Harry Koko Santoso at a press conference for the launch of the album Karya Emas Pamungkas NM in Jakarta, Friday.
"My detection and no detection think there is such curation, our benchmark is more about Indonesian children's music and songs, musically of course Detection is not an expert, but as Indonesian children Detection feels it is right that Indonesian children's work is certainly a shared responsibility," he explained.
The musicians will record an old hit song and a new creation belonging to Pamungkas NM. Of course, the arrangement is in a musical style according to the genre of each musician.
It didn't stop there, Harry 'Koko' Santoso, who is also the executive producer on this album, also has further concepts and plans for the future.
"The future Detection plan will collaborate with musicians who sing Pamungkas NM Gold Works, plan their concerts and even to strengthen the digital team and production team of this project, Detection also invites friends who have the same passion, such as Mas Fransiscus Eko from Cadaaz Pustaka Musik and Mas Angga Foster from Stoodio Indonesia," explained Harry Koko Santoso.
"Detection certainly has the spirit of a concert for our beloved country's children by holding the Pamungkas NM Gold Work concert in the form of a promo that is also visualized through concert videos in several parts of Indonesia," he concluded.
For information, the composer whose full name is Pamungkas Narashima Murti was born in Jakarta, May 5, 1963 from the pair Brigadier General Pol. Drs. Musso SH Day with Rr. Soenarti.
In the end, NM started his career in the music world from junior high school to college as a Bas musical instrument player. After that, he finally focused on entering the Indonesian music industry as a songwriter.
"The first time I started music during junior high school and college until finally I started focusing as a songwriter since I was with Teddy Sujaya (God Bless drummer) in 1988 when I worked on the album God Bless the Black Ant by participating in a song called Trauma with Teddy Sujaya whose lyrics were made by Iwan Fals," said Pamungkas.
"If the tips for creating songs can be that there are no hits, what is there is in creating songs so that people like them, they must flow as they are, not to be fabricated or engineered. What is no less important in creating songs, there must be 3 elements, namely questions, answers, and solutions," he continued.
"Actually, when it comes to the process of making my own songs like the one I live, it's sometimes difficult, sometimes it's easy, it depends on the mood too. Usually in making songs at the request of the producer the singer who happens to be the vocal character according to the song I created."
In composing songs, Pamungkas NM admitted that he was inspired by things that were close to his daily life.
"I myself and I can also from the story of someone who was told to me and then I made it into a song," he concluded.
