Experiencing Heart Palpitation, Rei IVE Rehat And Writing Letters To Fans
JAKARTA - Rei, member of the K-pop group IVE, wrote a letter about the rest period he was taking. Earlier this week, the agency Starship Entertainment announced that Rei would be absent from IVE promotion activities due to health problems.
This announcement was released a day after IVE released its first album, I'VE IVE on April 11. A number of media reported Rei out of the middle of a photo session together due to her health condition.
"DIVEs, you were surprised when you heard the news, right? To be honest I was worried about how I wrote this letter so I wrote it directly," Rei wrote today, Thursday, April 13.
"Now I'm taking a moment to take care of myself and trying so that this time is not in vain. There are no days without thinking about LIVEs and other members. I've always wanted to know what you guys are doing because you have friends and family for me," he said.
Because this is the first studio album, all members work very hard. All IVE members are so cool and amazing and I hope they can receive love from people around the world," he continued.
The agency explained that Rei had unusual symptoms such as heart palpitas. After discussing with the medical team, Rei is required to rest so that she is absent from promoting a new album until an undetermined time.
"We ask for the understanding of fans over the priority of the artist's health. We will give news if there is a change in the future. The agency will try to get Rei to rest," said Starship.
IVE released its first solo album with two main tracks I AM and Kitsch. It became their first album after they released two singles: After Like and Love Dive. Both of these songs received positive responses nationally and internationally.
On the other hand, IVE signed a contract with Columbia Records for expansion into the United States market.
