BPJT Explains Toll Road Readiness Ahead Of The 2023 Eid Homecoming Flow
JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR is ready to support the smoothness and convenience of the 2023 Lebaran homecoming traffic flow. One of them, by preparing more than 100 rest areas in all toll roads along 2,624 km.
The 2,624 km toll road is a toll road that will be operated during the Eid homecoming flow later.
"We from the PUPR Ministry support the smoothness and convenience of the Eid homecoming traffic flow in 2023 by preparing 127 rest areas and also the addition of three new or functional rest areas," said BPJT Secretary of the Ministry of PUPR Triono Junoasmono at a press conference related to the Preparedness of the Toll Road Facilities and Infrastructure facing Eid al-Fitr 1444 H/2023 with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture online, Thursday, April 13.
Triono said, there was also one additional holding area at KM 81A and B which would later be functionalized during the 2023 Lebaran homecoming.
To support the smooth flow of Lebaran 2023 homecoming, Triono also ensured that his party would operate 11 toll roads, spread across Java and Sumatra.
"We will also function 11 toll roads, of which seven are on the island of Java and four are on the island of Sumatra along a total of 222 km," he said.
As for other support that has been given by the Ministry of PUPR, he said, namely preparing SPKLU for travelers who use electric vehicles at 14 rest areas.
Not only that, continued Triono, specifically for Jakarta towards Merak, the Ministry of PUPR has collaborated with ASDP to prepare facilities for purchasing Fery boat tickets for travelers who will carry out crossings at Merak Port.
"At the rest area of KM 43 and KM 68, we are working with ASDP to prepare for the purchase of ferry tickets at Merak Port, so that people can buy tickets at both rest areas," he concluded.
