Yoo Ah In Allegedly Routine To Klab To Zolpidem Consumption, Voice Opening Agency
JAKARTA - The agency that oversees Yoo Ah In released a statement regarding the latest news about the artist. Yoo Ah In, who underwent an examination because drug use was involved with a number of the latest issues.
The United Artist Agency (UAA) said there were two media outlets who made exclusive news with different titles. The first title reads, "Yoo Ah In visits Itaewon every week with models and entertainment actors, suspected drugs."
In addition, the second title reads, 'Yoo Ah In excessive Zolpidem consumption. Type five drugs.'
UAA explained that the first news was not true because the Korean media used the story of informant A without checking facts. As a result, the news was made as if Yoo Ah In was taking drugs every day.
The 'Portal media' said informant A explained, as "He doesn't order a lot of tapo alcohol, many say he's drunk. He smokes in the corner of his neck and doesn't look like his usual cigarettes," UAA quoted Xsportsnews as saying today, Wednesday, April 12.
"We want to ask how media portals can verify A's claims. From what we were examining, smoking is not allowed in some outlets and there is a separate open smoking area. We regret that media portals make reports based on someone's claims without fact checking," he continued.
Then they also discussed the news that Yoo Ah In was taking the zolpidem and was referred to as the fifth type of drug that was found by the police.
It is true that Yoo Ah In took sleeping pills due to sleep disorders. In the past, he took sleeping pills with relevant ingredients. But in the last six months, he replaced sleeping pills with different ingredients, "said UAA.
"He never used pills for other purposes other than sleep. The truth will be revealed through a police investigation," he continued.
The agency will take legal action if this unverified or baseless news is increasingly circulating.
Until now Yoo Ah In and the agency have avoided comments regarding information while the police investigation is ongoing. According to Yoo Ah In's statement, he will follow the investigation process and receive all the penalties," the agency said.
In early February, Yoo Ah In was questioned regarding the illegal use of Propofol. He also tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, and contaminants. Seoul police recently said the actor allegedly consumed zolpidem.
