HAIM Shows Musicality Through Hallelujah
JAKARTA - The HAIM brothers band introduced their latest song titled Hallelujah, Tuesday, November 19. In addition to the audio released through the music platform, HAIM has also released music videos through their YouTube channel. Hallelujah is the third song that HAIM released this year after Summer Girl (August) and Now I'm In It (October).
Hallelujah talked about the siblings' offering to their family, love, loss and gratitude for all they got. They shared their respective opinions about Hallelujah via Twitter last week.
Alana begins the story by writing: “It's hard to talk about my part in the song but I want to open up so here it is… I went through dark hard times when I was 20 years old. I woke up on a foggy October morning to receive news that my best friend, Sammi Kane Kraft, had died in a tragic car accident. "
"Losing him created many perspectives for me. I'm lucky to have a brother in my life. Now there isn't a day when I don't tell everyone how special they are," wrote Alana in her post.
We have a song called hallelujah coming out on Monday. It's a song about family, love, loss, and being thankful for it all. It's hard to talk about my verse in the song but I wanted to open up about it so here I go ... pic.twitter.com/0KqdNx7syq

Este also gave another view in his tweet. Este said: “I wrote my piece after a few days of receiving bad news from my endicronology. At that time I didn't pay attention to my health and ignored the danger signs more than type 1 diabetes. Some diabetics experience what doctors call, diabetes fatigue where a patient stops taking care of himself because it becomes tiring, time consuming.
“I came home angry and frustrated and the two people I am comfortable talking about are Danielle and Alana. Sometimes, I feel like they're the only people who understand and support me when I feel like giving up. This song is for people who are struggling with chronic illnesses and those around us who we can count on for help and guidance. "

The Hallelujah music video was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, an American director who directed the film Punch-Drunk Love. This is Paul's third direction after directing the songs Summer Girl and Now I'm In It.
The artistic touch of Paul's hand adds to the dark and quiet impression of Hallelujah's song. Danielle who played guitar together with Este and Alana who sat down, then the three of them walked around and out of a theater building.
It wouldn't be HAIM if there was no walking scene accompanied by music. The special thing is, in this song the three sing. Different from the two previous songs where only Danielle sang, now the three of them are back to showing their voices.
As far as the release of the three songs, HAIM has yet to confirm anything regarding the new album. The last time, these brothers released the full album Something To Tell You in 2017. Have you listened to HAIM's latest song? If not, watch the video below.
