Paul Walker's GT-R Skyline Ever Drivered On Fast & Furious Auction
JAKARTA - Fast and Furious is one of the largest film franchises in the world by showing many iconic cars in these speeding films. One of them is Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 which was once driven by actor Paul Walker as Brian O'Connor.
The auction house from England, Bonhams will offer this car to buyers who want to take the car to his house. The Skyline GT-R R34 that will be auctioned is the car that has acted on the 4th Fast & Furious.
Quoted from Motor1, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, the GT-R car was imported from Kaizo Industries to the United States. Interestingly, the car was not sent in its entirety. Instead, the company registered it as a body kit by bringing the car without an engine. Then, then rebuild it with complete components.
According to Bonhams, Paul Walker also played a role in modifying the car. He asked for some changes in it such as turbonetics front-mount intercooler, Nismo lowering springs, Nismo NE-1 exhaust, and Volk Racing RE30 19-inch rim.
With the increase in intercooler and exhaust, of course, it can produce extraordinary power. From the previous only 276 dk of the GT-R standard Skyline, with this increase to around 550 dk.
Then on the inside, there is a screen at the top of the dashboard and the appearance of the HUD. The cabinet was also changed like a racing car, with the Momo Sport steering wheel paired, the Nismo V-Spec pedal, the OMP racing seat.
After the process of making the film was completed, the Skyline GT-R was confiscated by the US government because it was questioned whether the car arrived in the US legally or not. Finally, solving the problem reached a common ground in 2012 with someone who would take this car to Germany, which was then displayed in Munich Motorworld.
Although this car will be auctioned off, not everyone can take part in the auction event. Only people who make it through the verification process can bid. The auction will take place from April 28 to April 5 in Brussels, Belgium.
