Kangkangi Malaysian Couple, Greece / Apriyani To Thailand Open Semifinals
JAKARTA - The only Indonesian women's doubles in the Thailand Open 2021 Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu continued their steps to the semifinals after eliminating the Malaysian pair Pearly Tan / Thinaah Muralitharan.
In the quarter-final match at Impact Arena, Bangkok, Friday, Greysia / Apriyani won the straight game 21-15, 21-12 within 35 minutes.
According to Antara, the fifth seed Greysia / Apriyani has been pressing since the first game. However, Tan / Thinaah did not want to lose, so the two partners took turns leading the match.
After the 12-12 draw, then Greysia / Apriyani picked up speed. Deftly, they returned the balls from their opponents and produced point by point to win 21-15 over Tan / Thinaah.
