Netted At The Karoke Place During PPKM, The Civil Servant Of Pati Was Demoted

JAKARTA - Civil servants (PNS) of Pati Regency, Central Java, were caught in compliance operations with the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) because they were at the karoke venue.

However, the District Government of Pati, Central Java, did not mention the identity of the civil servant. It's just that, civil servants have been given a demotion sanction.

"The three-year demotion sanction is given to the civil servants, as a follow-up to the joint operation carried out by the Pati Police and Satpol PP Thursday, January 14," said Regent Pati Haryanto in Pati, reported by Antara, Friday, January 15.

He revealed that the imposition of the sanctions was decided after a coordination meeting with the Regional Secretary Pati Suharyono and the acting head of BKPP Jumani.

The imposition of the demotion in rank is the most severe sanction in accordance with the employment regulations.

The sanction was chosen because the person concerned had violated the Regent Regulation (Perbup) and Circular (SE) regarding PPKM.

Haryanto expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Police and his staff for the operation. This operation is very important to catch and take firm action against PPKM violators.

In addition, the Regent also appreciates the community who has complied with PPKM policies and hopes that the spread of COVID-19 in Pati can decrease.

He reminded all civil servants to take lessons from the case of nipping a civil servant in an entertainment venue when the PPKM provisions were enforced.

"Do not ever violate. If there are other violations, it could be that the sanctions imposed will be heavier," he said.

The PPKM was enforced to reduce the number of COVID-19 transmission. Because, in recent weeks the number of new COVID-19 cases has gone crazy.
