KPK Submits Polemic And Issues Of Leaking Firli Bahuri Documents To The Council
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has fully submitted a follow-up to the alleged leak of investigative documents allegedly carried out by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri and other polemics to the Supervisory Board. They believe the process will go according to the rules without intervention from any party.
"We certainly really appreciate several parties who reported the dynamics and issues of alleged document leaks to the KPK Council," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, April 11.
"We fully leave it to the KPK Council," he continued.
Ali said the KPK was also waiting for the follow-up results from the KPK Council. So, he asked that no more parties build inappropriate narratives.
Do not let the wrong narrative prevent the eradication of corruption so that it cannot be carried out optimally. "Let's leave the process to the mechanism in the KPK Council. So we hope that there will be no more parties who build counterproductive narratives and make early conclusions regarding the matter in question," he said.
Firli Bahuri was reported to the Supervisory Board for this week. He is suspected of leaking the investigation documents of alleged corruption at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
This report related to the leak was carried out by former KPK leaders, namely Abraham Samad, Bambang Widjojanto, and Saut Situmorang with the Civil Society Coalition. They submitted a report related to the allegations on Monday, April 10.
Not only that, former KPK Director of Investigation Brigadier General Endar Priantoro also reported Firli and Secretary General of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa. This report was carried out in the aftermath of his removal from the position he held.
Endar was respectfully dismissed on March 31 after he was returned to the National Police. However, the Bhayangkara Corps member was instead asked to return to the KPK according to the order of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
