Increase Industrial Competitiveness, Ministry Of Industry Holds Permenperin Implementation Number 45 Of 2022

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) held the Kick Off of the Implementation of the Minister of Industry Number 45 of 2022 through SIINAS on Tuesday, April 11.

The event was held to increase industrial competitiveness through the industrial standardization ecosystem.

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the event was a manifestation of the Ministry of Industry in order to increase the competitiveness of the national industry.

"I can convey that the Implementation of the Minister of Industry Number 45 of 2022 through SIInas is a digitalization process for the appointment of the Compliance Assessment Institute (LPK), so that the process will be faster and more accurate," said Minister of Industry Agus in Jakarta.

Minister of Industry Agus said that standardization is one of the tools that supports the Ministry of Industry's program, one of which is regarding import substitution.

"We cannot deny that standardization is one of the tools that supports increasing the use of domestic products as well and is also one of the tools in implementing structure deepening, one of which is complete for import substitution," he said.

According to Agus, the stipulation of the Minister of Industry Regulation Number 45 of 2022 concerning Industrial Standardization is very important, namely to support the acceleration of national industrial expansion and increase the competitiveness of national products in the future.

"One of the policies implemented is the implementation of SNI, technical specifications, or mandatory procedures to protect national products from competition with low quality imported products and increase the competitiveness of national products in the domestic market and exports," he said.

The factors that affect the competitiveness of the industry are the quality of the products produced and the costs borne by the industry. Product quality certainly has an impact on consumer satisfaction.

"Meanwhile, costs are expenditures used by the industry to produce products if the quality of a product can increase and accompanied by a decrease in production costs, later the competitiveness of the industry will increase," said Agus.

Therefore, he continued, it is very important to maintain industry standardization and standardization is an inseparable part of industrial services.

"For this reason, in order to strengthen industrial services in their role in national GDP, I have included industrial services as one of the targets in the draft RPJMN and RPJPN," explained Agus.

Agus assessed that it is time for industrial services to be seen as an inseparable part of developing the national industry.

"The national industrial standard in the industrial sector is a provision for industrial production results concerning the form, size, composition, quality, and concerning how to process, how to draw, how to test, which is determined by the National Standardization Agency and applies in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia," he added.

"Finally, as a closing, I congratulate you on participating in the Kick Off Implementation of Permenperin Number 45 of 2022 through SIInas, by saying bismillairrahmanirrahim, I officially open this event," concluded Agus.
