Sandiaga Uno Asks For Handicrafts In NTB To Decorate The Mandalika MotoGP Circuit
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno asked for handicrafts produced by craftsmen in Sukarara Village, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara to decorate the MotoGP race at the Mandalika circuit 2021.
"I have been assigned by the President, before MotoGP, there will be an event every week, every month there will still be an event," said Sandiaga Uno while reviewing crafts at Sukarara Village, Jonggat Subdistrict, Central Lombok Regency.
According to him, tourism must be able to break the chain of unemployment and minimize poverty. Not only tourism, creative economy and environmental sustainability must be driven by the community.
Therefore, the Menparekraf asked the public to rise up, by increasing handicrafts. Sandiaga admitted that his arrival to NTB was not only to visit handicrafts, but as a form of making Indonesia a developed country and its people prosperous.
"Let us together create a blessed, just and prosperous Indonesia and Baldatun Thayyibatun Wa Rabbun Ghafur," he said.
Meanwhile the Governor of NTB, Zulkieflimansyah said that President Joko Widodo had given directions to the Menparekraf. One of the President's directives is to make the MotoGP event a success.
"The President has given direction to the Menparekraf, that MotoGP will be carried out in 2021," he said.
The Ministry of Tourism, said the Governor of NTB, in addition to the success of MotoGP, will certainly hold big events before MotoGP. Because according to him, one way to boost the community's economy is to increase the number of events involving the community.
"Our village will be visited by many people, of course all of this will boost the community's economy," he said.
