TNI Denies Issues Of Military Operation To Rescue Susi Air Pilots In Papua
The joint collaboration team of the TNI, Polri, BIN, BSSN conducted a search for the whereabouts of the Susi Air pilot who was carried and held hostage by a group of Terrorist Separatist Groups (KST) in Papua.
Dankolaksops TNI Brigadier General J.O. Sembiring who led the search for Susi Air pilot operation emphasized that currently he is still searching for the whereabouts of Pilot Susi Air, both through communication with the Regional Government and Leaders, as well as through law enforcement.
"All of these activities require a short time because we prioritize pilot safety as the main thing. Let's pray that the pilot search and rescue process can run successfully," said Brigadier General JO Sembiring in an official statement through Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Colonel Herman Taryaman received by VOI, Monday, April 10.
Furthermore, Brigadier General J.O. Sembiring revealed that regarding the search for Pilot Susi Air, the narrative made by Terrorist Sebby Sabom has developed that the TNI is carrying out military operations. Brigadier General J.O. Sembiring denied the issue.
"I emphasize that this is not true. What is true is that we have been doing Smart Approach, namely Soft Approach and Hard Approach through negotiations and law enforcement carried out by the Joint Team," he said.
"Actually and in reality there is no Military operation, there is a search and rescue operation for pilot Susi Air supporting law enforcement," he added.
