10 EV Models And Toyota Strategic Plans Until 2026
JAKARTA - In the latest press conference, Toyota global announced plans to launch as many as 10 new EV models until 2026.
Toyota also plans to sell 1.5 million non-emission cars. As reported by Motor1, Jum'at, April 7. Toyota says that the upcoming EV model will have a "different face" than the current EV model.
Another thing Toyota says is to double the next generation EV distance by using batteries with high efficiency. They also promise several models can provide surprises in terms of performance and the latest design.
"This latest generation of BEV will double driving range using batteries that have much greater efficiency while offering driving design and performance to make the heart beat fast," said Toyota's Executive Vice President, Hiroki Nakajima, as reported by InsideEV, Friday, April 7.
To revive the latest aura of electric vehicles, Toyota is starting to handle various aspects from development to production and commercialization. They also alluded to Arene's latest operating system for the following EV model that supports over-the-air updates and can add to the new experience for motorists.
Toyota also revealed a roadmap for EV products covering the three-line SUV coming in 2025 to the United States market as well as being assembled locally with batteries originating from North Carolina.
Meanwhile, China will get the latest EV in 2024 with an expanded bZ lineup and will be offered to developed countries. Toyota has plans to introduce an electric pickup car before the end of this year.
The world's largest automotive brand also affirms its commitment to developing BEV, PHEV, FCEV, HEV, H2, and CN powered vehicles in the future.
