COVID-19 Update As Of April 9: 565 New Cases, 296 Recovered
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today.
A total of 10,408 specimens were examined with the results of 565 new positive cases of COVID-19.
The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,751,168 people and active cases have increased by 276 to 6,686 cases, said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, April 9.
Today's recovered cases increased by 296 cases, bringing the total to 6,583,430 recovered people. Then, there was no positive confirmation that 2 people died, bringing the total to 161,052 people.
The province with the highest new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 205 cases, bringing the total to 1,548,629 cases. Followed by West Java with 103 new cases bringing the total to 1,239,754.
Then, East Java has 91 new cases with a total of 639,563. Then, Banten with 76 new cases so that a total of 367,833 cases. Followed by Central Java with 31 new cases bringing the total to 656,976 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 152 recovered. Followed by East Java with an additional 59 recovered cases, and Banten with 35 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 26 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,063,422.
"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 4.68 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 723 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
