The Body Of Sriwijaya Air Flight Attendants From Bali Will Be Buried In Mumbul

JAKARTA - The family of Mia Tresetyani, a flight attendant who is a victim of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 accident, is planned to be buried at the Taman Mumbul Christian Cemetery, Badung, Bali.

This was conveyed by Yudi Irawan, the victim's cousin at his residence, Denpasar, Bali, Friday, January 15.

"When the body arrives, the body will wait for a decision from the government, and we will also wait for updates from Sriwijaya Air. The victim will be buried in a Christian cemetery, Mumbul," said Yudi.

For the process of picking up the body, according to Yudi, the family has agreed to pick him up directly from the International Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Badung, Bali.

"We have also confirmed to the airlines that they ask to be escorted by colleagues or close friends who happen to be colleagues while at Sriwiajaya Air. We reduce mobilization, in the midst of the current pandemic, this should be done," he said.

The family received information on the identification of Mia Tresetyani's body on Thursday, January 14, at around 18.00 WIB. The news was obtained from friends of the victim on the airline.

"We are still waiting for information on the search to be carried out. Who knows, the next search will find another part of Mia's body," Yudi said.

He hopes that the process of picking up the body of Mia Tresetyani's victim can be properly guarded, then assisted by also facilitating mobility from the airport to arriving at the funeral home.

Previously, the Bali Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team took DNA samples from Mia Tresetyani's parents, at her residence in Denpasar, Bali.

DNA sampling was carried out based on the results of coordination with the DNA Laboratory of the National Police Health Center and the anti-medical team in Jakarta.
