There Is A Special Command Post For Workers Or Workers Who Don't Get THR From The Company
The Manpower Office (Disnaker) of Situbondo Regency, East Java, has opened a complaint post for workers or laborers who do not receive holiday allowances (THR) from the companies they work for.
"The THR payment is mandatory for companies to their employees, and the provisions are contained in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower Number: M/2/HK.04.00/III/2023 concerning the Implementation of the Provision of Religious Holiday Allowances for workers or laborers, as well as the Regent's Circular Number 560/0275/431.306.4.2/2023 concerning the provision of THR," said the Head of the Situbondo Kholil Regency Manpower Service in Situbondo, Antara, Sunday 9 April.
Kholil emphasized that the company has an obligation to provide holiday allowances to employees and the aim is to meet the needs of workers or laborers in welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah.
Kholil said that no later than the company was required to pay THR to its employees one week before Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah, so there was a long gap for the company to immediately grant employee rights.
The provision of THR to workers or laborers, continued Kholil, is also regulated so that the company does not only provide allowances on the basis of self-will.
"In the rules, it is explained that the THR is given based on a working period. For example, workers or laborers who already have a one-year working period are given one month's salary, while for employees who are new to a working period of under one year, the THR is given under a salary of one month," he said.
Kholil added, to ensure that the company does not ignore the THR payment obligation, officers from the Manpower Office will intensely contact the company to submit a report.
"Regarding the report related to the company's commitment. Has it given THR or not? Later we can find out what the responsibility is. If an employee allowance has been given, there is no problem. But if there is a company that does not want to give this THR, we will call it," said Kholil.
The summons in question, he said, is in order to find out what the company's obstacles are, and then a solution can be found so that employees receive holiday allowances.
"For example, the company's financial case is not enough to provide the THR with a solution. When there is a problem like that, we as intermediaries will bring together employers and employees. What do you think the solution is?," he said.
