Until April 8, 2023, KAI Records Sales Of 1.59 Million Eid Train Tickets

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that long-distance train tickets during the Eid al-Fitr 2023 homecoming transportation period were sold as many as 1,597,028 tickets or 52 percent of the total tickets provided.

The tickets sold were for train departures in the period 12 to 3 May 2023.

VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said that the period before Lebaran was dominated by passengers from the West, such as Jakarta or Bandung towards the East, such as Central Java and East Java.

"For the period after Lebaran, passengers from the East, such as Central Java or East Java, are dominated by passengers heading towards Jakarta and Bandung," he wrote in a statement to the media, Saturday, April 8.

Joni added that his party hopes that the community can plan their journey well because the train tickets for the Eid Transport period are still quite widely available.

"If the desired ticket runs out, the customer can select an alternative date or take advantage of the Connecting Train feature in the KAI Access application which will help provide travel options by combining a connecting train schedule," Joni continued.

He detailed, based on the date of departure for the favorite train, 82 percent was ordered on April 24, 2023; April 25, 2023 was 81 percent and April 20, 2023 was 79 percent.
