Palestinian Embassy Kutuk Israel Brutal Attack At Al Aqsa Mosque

JAKARTA - The Palestinian Embassy in Indonesia strongly condemns the brutal attack of Israeli occupation soldiers on worshipers at the Al Aqsa Mosque.

"Israeli occupation forces illegally invaded the Al Aqsa Mosque, attacking men, women, and children barbaricly, detaining more than 500 people illegally," the Palestinian Embassy said.

Israeli occupation forces also prevented ambulances from treating hundreds of injured people, causing damage to the Al Aqsa Mosque, including triggering fires in one location.

Palestine reiterated that Israel has no sovereignty over any part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex.

Palestinian pilgrims have the absolute right to pray freely and safely inside and around the Al Aqsa compound, whenever and whenever, without obstacles or violence, the Palestinian Embassy said.

Israel's aggression against the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex is a terrible attack on the basic rights of Palestinians to worship freely in their holy place, especially during the holy month of fasting.

In an action classed as a gross violation of international law principles, Israel imposed arbitrary restrictions on when and how Palestinians could worship while inviting and encouraging Israeli settlers to carry out highly provocative and illegal attacks on the holy site.

Israel's systematic brutalization and deliberate provocation reflect the colonial push to provoke and initiate religious confrontations, the Palestinian Embassy said.

"They must be confronted and stopped by all responsible international actors," added the Palestinian Embassy

The Palestinian embassy said the international community was obliged to hold Israel and its officials accountable for their crimes.

Palestinians will continue to exercise their rights in defending Jerusalem, mosques and their churches, from Israeli aggression.

"We ask the Indonesian government and all supporters of the independent Palestinians in this country to intervene and activate international law mechanisms and international humanitarian law, to hold Israel's occupation accountable for persistent violations of Palestinian civilians and worshipers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque," said the Palestinian Embassy.

The international community must take the necessary steps to help stop human rights abuses and war crimes committed by Israel, the Palestinian Embassy concluded.
