Tika Brahani Strengthens Imagination When Filming Horror Khanzab
JAKARTA - Tika Brahani admits that she has to play more with her imagination in her latest film titled Khanzab because many scenes use Computer-Generalized Imagery (CGI) techniques.
"You have to play imagination too, that's what's more effort (business), more focused because, right, to imagine, to get rid of that energy itself is already quite tiring. And it's technical, not feelings, so, the mult focus," said Tika Brahani as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 7.
Khanzab is his first horror-themed film after five years of not playing on the big screen. According to the woman who is currently wearing the hijab, playing horror films is something new for him because so far he has been more often offered to play in drama films.
Tika Brahani (33) has made its latest horror film a means to express characters he has never played before.
Why is the comeback of horror films because they want to be different. Moreover, (I) have been wearing the hijab, the average offer is drama, women are persecuted. How come, there is no different room to express its role more," said Tika.
The wife of the Dimas Aditya pesinteron revealed the reason she was interested in accepting the offer to play in Khanzab, namely because she already knew the director, Anggi Umbara. During the shooting process he felt more comfortable because he could discuss if he was constrained by problems and felt more fun while on set.
"Because this is my first horror and for the first time I want to work with a team and director who I know before. So even if there is a problem because I'm trying it for the first time, let's just keep fun on site," said Tika.
Khanzab tells of Rahayu (Yasamin Jasem) who was bullied in the past after his father's death. Rahayu lives with a stepmother named Nuning (Tika Brahani).
Since then the terror of Khanzab beings has begun to haunt those who often disturb him during prayers. The film will be broadcast simultaneously in all cinemas in Indonesia starting April 20, 2023.
