Reply To Hamas Rockets, Israel Launches Airstrikes On Gaza

JAKARTA - The Israeli military launched airstrikes on Gaza on Friday morning in retaliation for missiles fired from Lebanon.

"IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) is currently attacking Gaza," the IDF tweeted on Twitter. There have been no immediate reports of injuries from the attack.

The chaos came as Israeli forces stormed the Al-Qibbli Prayer Hall at the Al Aqsa Mosque complex in the occupied area of East Jerusalem and forcibly expelled Palestinian pilgrims for two nights.

Quoted from ANTARA, on Thursday the Israeli military said that at least 30 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israel.

In a statement, the military said their air defense system Dome parried 15 rockets originating from Lebanon. Israel also blamed Palestinian resistance group Hamas for a series of rockets fired from Lebanon.
