Sold Separately From The Galaxy S21, Samsung Will Discount The Price Of Chargers Sold
JAKARTA - After insinuating Apple not to include a charger in its newest iPhone series, now Samsung is also licking its own saliva by taking similar steps. Samsung only includes a USB Type-C cable in the sales box.
Samsung also announced that it was cutting prices for its charger, the Samsung 25W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger on the grounds that the company knows consumers will definitely buy a charger for their new cellphone.
Before the discount, the charger was sold at a price of 34.99 US dollars (Rp.491 thousand), now that it has been discounted, the charger is sold at a price of 19.99 US dollars (Rp280 thousand).
However, there is no further information when the price cuts will take effect. Samsung is also rumored to be cutting the price of its wireless charger.

The charger, which comes in black and white, has a USB-C port on the top. The charger also supports Power Delivery technology up to 25W.
The South Korean company revealed the reason for not including a charger in the sales box. They argued that many Galaxy smartphone users already have Type-C cables, so that old charger accessories can be used to charge the Galaxy S21.
On the other hand, this decision also considers environmental sustainability issues, which is said to be Samsung's commitment to the future.
Apart from chargers, it is known that Samsung also does not include earphones in the Galaxy S21 sales box.
"To support the Galaxy community on this journey, we are making the transition to removing the chargers and earphones in our latest Galaxy line of smartphones," Patrick Shomet, EVP and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics said on Samsung's official website.
A similar opinion was expressed by M. Taufiq Furqan as Product Marketing of Samsung Electronics Indonesia. Taufiq said that nowadays many users have a tendency towards their respective favorite earphones.
At the launch of the Galaxy S21 Series, the Korean company also presented the Galaxy Buds Pro, Samsung's latest premium TWS.
These earbuds will also be included in the pre-order package for the Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra in Indonesia. Samsung's move seems to be following Apple's release of the iPhone 12 series, without an adapter in the box.
