Social Assistance Bribery, A Number Of Documents Transported By The KPK From The House Of The Director General Of The Ministry Of Social Affairs In Bekasi
JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators confiscated a number of documents from the house of the Director General of Social Protection and Security at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Dirjen Linjamsos Kemsos) Pepen Nazaruddin in Bekasi City, West Java.
Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said the document was confiscated because it was allegedly related to the alleged bribery case for the procurement of COVID-19 social assistance for the Greater Jakarta area. This case has caught the former Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Juliari P. Batubara.
"From the house concerned, various documents related to the case were found and secured," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement, Thursday, January 14.
The KPK has already investigated Pepen. Twice he was questioned by the KPK. Yesterday he was examined as a witness to complete the case file for the President Director of PT Tigapilar Agro Utama or Tigra, Ardian Iskandar Maddanatja. Ardian was a bribe for Juliari Barubara when he was Minister of Social Affairs.
During the examination, the investigating team questioned Pepen regarding the process of determining the vendor or partner for the Covid-19 social assistance distribution project in the Jabodetabek area in 2020 at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"Pepen Nazaruddin has deepened his knowledge regarding the processes and stages in determining the partners for the social assistance distribution project in the Greater Jakarta area in 2020 at the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Ali Fikri.
