Western Digital Alami Network Security Incident, Influenced Business Operations
JAKARTA - Data storage device maker Western Digital Corp (WDC) announced on Monday April 3, that it was investigating a network security incident following a breach to several systems disrupting part of their business operations.
Unauthorized parties obtained some data from their systems, and Western Digital is trying to understand the nature and scope of the data, the company said in a statement.
The company said the incident could cause further disruption to their business operations, and was implementing measures to secure the operation, including by disabling the system and services.
The company also said it was working with law enforcement authorities, after conducting an internal investigation with external security and forensic experts.
