Up 103.9 Percent, RMKE Books Net Profit Of IDR 404.1 Billion
JAKARTA - PT RMK Energy Tbk recorded an increase in net profit of 103.9 percent to Rp404.1 billion in 2022.
Operating income was also recorded at IDR 2.7 trillion, an increase of 46.6 percent yoy.
The Company's Director of Operations, William Saputra, said that the increase in financial performance was supported by an increase in coal volume amid the current price normalization.
"From the coal sales segment, the company recorded operating revenues of IDR 2.1 trillion, an increase of 45.3 percent yoy," he said at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, April 3.
William explained that the increase in revenue was supported by an increase in the volume of coal sales which increased by 45.1 percent yoy to 2.5 million tons.
This segment revenue contributed 77.3 percent to the Company's total revenue.
Gross profit originating from this segment amounted to Rp406.7 billion, an increase of 75.8 percent YoY and contributed 69.1 percent of the company's total gross profit.
From the coal service segment, the company recorded operating income of IDR 620.5 billion, an increase of 51.2 percent yoy.
The increase in segment revenue was supported by an increase in the volume of train unloading and loading and coal barges which increased by 94.8 percent yoy and 31.3 percent yoy, respectively.
"This segment revenue contributes 22.7 percent to the Company's total revenue," he said.
Gross profit originating from the coal service segment amounted to Rp181.9 billion, an increase of 89.9 percent YoY and contributed 30.9 percent of the Company's total gross profit.
"Energy security is an opportunity for companies to meet domestic and foreign energy needs," he explained.
In 2022, the company targets to transport the volume of train unloading and loading and unloading coal barges of 7.8 million MT each and 149.5 percent and 100.2 percent of the 2022 target.
For the coal sales segment, management targets a volume of 2.5 million tons, of which 50 percent of the target comes from the PT Truba Bara Banyu Enim in-house mine.
By the end of 2022, coal sales volume of 2.5 million MT or has reached 100 percent of the target this year.
