JAKARTA - The 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla expressed his condolences for the death of the cleric Syekh Ali Jaber.
JK remembers Syekh Ali Jaber as a preacher who was highly dedicated in spreading the teachings of Islam.
"The deceased has preached from mosque to mosque all over Indonesia," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Mosque Council in his statement in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, January 14.
In preaching, JK continued, Syekh Ali Jaber always delivered Islamic lectures in a calm, cool manner and invited people to the right path.
"His departure is a big loss for Muslims in Indonesia," he added.
Sheikh Ali Jaber passed away at the Yarsi Hospital, Jakarta, Thursday morning, at 08.30 WIB. Previously, the cleric named Ali Saleh Mohammed Ali Jaber declared himself positive for COVID-19 and was treated intensively in the hospital.
The cleric who was born in Medina, February 3, 1976, is planned to be buried in the Daarul Quran Cipondoh Islamic Boarding School complex, Tangerang, on Thursday afternoon.
