Visit The Ramadan Bazaar, The Trade Minister Asks For Selling Prices Not To Exceed The Highest Retail

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan reviewed the implementation of the Ramadan Bazar which was intended for the surrounding community so that they could get basic necessities (bapok) according to the price set by the Government during fasting and before Eid.

"The bazaar has sugar, flour for making cakes, cooking oil for cooking oil, there are also rice, meat, eggs, flour, chicken, and margarine, complete. The price of bapok sold at the Ramadan Bazaar is in accordance with the Highest Retail Price (HET) which is determined, including cooking oil of Rp. 14,000/liter and sugar of Rp. 12,000/kg," he said in a written statement in Jakarta this weekend.

Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan also revealed that the Ramadan Bazar will be held during the fasting month in various other places.

"Every day we want two bazaar activities, starting today, tomorrow, and until Lebaran. The place will move, not only in Jakarta. Hopefully this can help people get access set by the government," he said.

In addition, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan also conveyed that there was an increase in a number of bapok prices in the people's market, but they were still under control. In addition, the stock of bapok is also monitored enough.

"I see that prices in the market have started to rise. But the stock is sufficient, even more than sufficient. But because demand has increased, prices have also increased. But it is still under control," he said.

Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan asked entrepreneurs and traders not to play with prices. The price increase will also be monitored by the Food Task Force.

"For that, we ask entrepreneurs and traders, don't play games. Prices can go up, but don't overdo it. It must be in accordance with the price set by the government. If it increases, there will be tolerance," he said.

A number of bapok sold at the Ramadan bazaar this time are Rp. 108,000/kg (from the normal price of Rp. 130,000), Rp. 93,000/kg (from Rp. 120,000), sugar Rp. 12,000/kg (from Rp. 13,500), MINYAWESI Rp. 14,000/liter, Rp. 9,000/kg of Bulog rice. As well as packages containing potato flour, rice flour, margarine, and coconuts Rp. 20,000/packet (from Rp. 35,000).

Meanwhile, if there is a connection between the Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, emphasized that the Food Task Force will act decisively.

"If there is hoarding, the Task Force will intervene. Don't play games. This is a fasting month for the benefit of many people, let's take care of it together, take profit but it's natural," he concluded.
