House Assistance From Ganjar In Jepara Used To Pay Children's Salaries

JAKARTA - The house of Muhammad Mahin (39) in Sidigede Village, Weahan District, Jepara is always crowded with children who recite the Koran in the afternoon. Dozens of children aged at elementary school are learning to read and learn tajwid.

Muhammad Mahin is a madrasah diniyah teacher in his village. In 2021, he will receive housing assistance through the 'Weak Tuku by Omah' program from the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo.

The house assistance, superior to the instant panel system (Ruspin), is used as a place to teach children religious knowledge, especially the Qur'an. For him, serving as a Koran teacher is a form of gratitude for the housing assistance he received.

"Alhamdulillah, I received home assistance from the provincial government for Pak Ganjar's program. Yes, happy and thank God," said Mahin, Saturday, April 1.

He was grateful for the help he got. Because, since his family, his life has always moved from place to place of residence.

"Since I was married, his life has moved around. Yes, accompanying parents, yes, follow my parents-in-law," he explained.

Having your own home has indeed become his dream. However, economic problems are an obstacle. Every day Mahin is a teacher at madrasah diniyah and farming workers with mediocre income.

"In the afternoon I teach at madrasa. And, after that teaching Koran at home," he said.

Well, with this religious knowledge, Mahin used his house to gain knowledge for children in his village.

"Yes, this house is for the children's recitation. Now there are about 30 children who recite here every afternoon. Alhamdulillah, besides I live with my family, this house can also teach Koran," he explained.

Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the 'Weak Tuku By Omah' program was a measure of poverty alleviation in Central Java.

"It turns out that buying land can be a house is an interesting program and is of interest to residents. So we are trying to solve some existing backlogs, related to people's necessities," said the Governor.

The program is also a synergy system between parties to work together to realize the dream of citizens in owning private housing.

"And this model is interesting because banks give first, become financed banks. So people will credit to banks later. This is an example that people can take advantage of, and hopefully more people can get better houses," he added.

For information, from data from the Central Java Provincial Public Housing and Settlement Area Office, the 'Weak Tuku By Omah' assistance program began to be implemented in 2020. In 2020 200 units were built, 2021 there were 186 units. And in 2022 253 units were established. The plan is that in 2023 there will be 615 units built.
