The Dismissal Of 3 Avsec Officers Is Considered Excessive By Bahar Smith
JAKARTA - After picking up and accompanying Bahar bin Smith, three Aviation Security (Avsec) officers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport were fired. This also received a response from Bahar Smith.
According to Aziz Yanuar, Bahar Smith's attorney, the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Avsec decision to fire three employees was quite excessive.
If you object to them taking a break with the teacher then who can you be like this? Teacher too right? Don't be arrogant and overdo it. If there is a dismissal, the dzalim," Aziz told reporters, Friday, March 31.
Aziz assessed the attitude taken by the Soetta Airport manager towards the three employees. He was surprised by the decision, whether it was against the rules.
"Look for the right face. We will ask Perum Angkasa Pura II again, is that how the violation is or is it looking for the face that talks and takes action with the Avsec officers?" Aziz asked.
Aziz also assessed that if it was deemed a violation, it should be enough to be given a warning. He prayed that the three employees could return to work.
"But we pray and hope there is no need for dismissal, just be warned," he concluded.
For information, a video of Aviation Security (Avsec) officer at Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta) picking up and accompanying Bahar bin Smith, who had just gotten off the plane, went viral on Twitter social media. Not only escorted, the officer also kissed his hand in the video.
Responding to this, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) emphasized that every Asvec officer must always comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
SM of Branch Communications & Legal Soekarno-Hatta Airport M. Holik Muardi said the SOP from Acsec Officers was to ensure flight safety and security by carrying out inspections of goods and people.
AP II has learned that there are 3 non-organic Avsecs that have violated SOPs and disciplinary actions while on duty at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Friday, March 3, 2023.
"The three Avsecs committed serious violations, namely leaving the work area without reporting to their immediate superiors, then picking up and assisting passengers, where this is not an SOP from Avsec," said Holik, in an official statement, Friday, March 31.
