Pertamina Asked To Anticipate The Surge In Fuel Until 2023, DPR: While There Is Still Time

Member of Commission VII DPR Mulyanto asked Pertamina to ensure the availability and smooth distribution of fuel in Ramadan and ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2023.

"Pertamina must be able to anticipate a surge in fuel demand in various regions during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr, especially regarding fuel needs during the homecoming season," he said in Jakarta, Friday, March 31, was confiscated by Antara.

He said, Pertamina must calculate the number of fuel needs as well as prepare the production process. "While there is still time, Pertamina should be able to prepare these needs well," he said.

According to Mulyanto, Commission VII of the DPR has made a specific working visit to UID PLN Banten.

During the visit, a meeting was held with PT. Pertamina, PLN, BPH Migas, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Hiswana Migas in order to find out the Government's readiness to meet the adequacy of fuel, LPG gas and electricity in the month of Ramadan and in order to welcome the arrival of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

In general, Pertamina and PLN in the Banten area are ready to anticipate the surge in demand. In terms of operational reserves at the terminal level for gasoline and diesel, each reported at 26 days and 9 days.

Meanwhile, the distribution aspect is carried out to add distribution points in the form of standby gas stations, LPG agents and outlets on standby, motorists and pocket gas stations.

"What needs attention is the distribution of diesel, especially subsidized diesel. In addition to its operational reserves which are only 9 days, the sales volume has also been over the quota. If the average need is in accordance with the latest month's data, especially if it increases, it is estimated that for 2023 there will be an over quota," he said.

"Similarly, the three kilograms LPG shows a similar trend of over-quade. This needs special attention from the Government and Pertamina," he continued.
