Surge's Net Profit In 2022 Soars 136 Percent
JAKARTA - PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk alias Surge (WIFI) managed to record a positive performance throughout 2022. The company's net profit experienced a significant growth of 136 percent from the previous Rp24.8 billion to Rp58.4 billion.
This is as stated in the Pprseroan audit's financial report for the period ending on December 31, 2022. The company's revenue also grew strongly by 18 percent from IDR 390.9 billion in 2021 to IDR 461.2 billion in 2022.
This positive performance cannot be separated from the complete operation of the Company's connectivity business and the increasing contribution of post-pandemic advertising performance.
On the other hand, the company's assets continued to grow and recorded an increase of 57 percent to Rp1.4 trillion compared to the position at the end of 2021 which amounted to Rp896.3 billion.
The Company's equity also increased by 19 percent to IDR 612.7 billion compared to the equity position at the end of 2021 which amounted to IDR 515.9 billion.
As is known, Surge [WIFI] through its subsidiary PT Integration Network Ecosystem (IJE) has operated a fiber optic network along the Java island railway line since 2022. Currently, IJE has built and operated 5,237 Km of fiber optic networks that combine rail, toll roads, and highways with a capacity of 144 cores and a maximum bandwidth capacity of up to 64 Tbps.
In the future, the company hopes to continue to develop connectivity networks throughout Indonesia, apart from Java Island.
Surge CEO, Hermansjah Haryono, revealed that Surge's good performance throughout 2022 cannot be separated from the efforts of all stakeholders who have worked hard and partnered with the company. He is optimistic that this positive trend can be maintained in the years ahead in line with the full operation of our Java Backbone and the use of connectivity infrastructure to accelerate and rely on more than 500 Points of Presence and 58 Edge Data Center locations, Content Delivery Network (CDN), and Local Internet Exchange.
