East Java PWNU Urges Ponpes And Ulama In Line With The National Vaccination Program

JAKARTA - Chairman of the East Java Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Management KH Marzuki Mustamar emphasized that all NU components, such as scholars, leaders and teachers at Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in the local area are in line with the national vaccination program.

"In general, all cadres, administrators, kiai, Islamic boarding schools and institutions under the auspices of NU East Java, are in line and have one attitude in this vaccination program," said KH Marzuki Mustamar at the Grahadi State Building in the vaccination program held by the East Java Provincial Government. The head of the Sabiilul Rosyad Islamic Boarding School, Gasek, Malang added that the East Java PWNU has also issued an appeal for the vaccination program.

Meanwhile, regarding the existence of a boarding school in East Java that refused vaccination, the man who was born on September 22, 1966 did not know the background of the boarding school.

"We do not yet know what boarding school refuses vaccination. This means that it is an NU lodge or not," said Mustamar.

In his appeal, PWNU East Java asked all NU administrators and residents in East Java to participate and help smooth the implementation of the COVID-19 Vaccination, which simultaneously starts on January 13, 2021.

Appeal Number 818 / PW / A11 / L / 1/2021 refers to the results of Bahtsul Masa'il PWNU East Java regarding the permissibility of using vaccines that have proven their usefulness to increase health immunity and body immunity during a pandemic.

In addition, it also refers to the MUI Fatwa No. 02/2021 concerning the COVID-19 Vaccine Product from Sinovac Life ScienceCo. LTD China and PT. Bio Farma (Persero).

As well as the Decree of the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number H1K.02.02 / 4/1/2021 concerning the Implementation of Vaccinations in the context of overcoming the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Pandemic (COVID-19).
