Electronic Arts Announces Up To Six Percent Employee Cuts

JAKARTA - After many large technology companies have terminated employment (PHK), Electronic Arts (EA) as a company publishing video games from the United States has finally laid off six percent of its employees.

In a post posted by Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson, it was said that this decision was taken because the EA would focus on larger missions, and move away from projects that do not contribute to the company.

"This decision is estimated to have an impact on about six percent of our company's workforce. This is the most difficult part, and we are working on the process with great care and respect," Wilson wrote addressed to his employees, quoted Thursday, March 30.

Furthermore, Wilson said that he hopes to divert as many employees as possible affected to other roles within the company. However, those who have been laid off have been promised severance pay, as well as benefits such as health care and career transition services.

"As much as possible, we provide an opportunity for our colleagues to move on to other projects. If that doesn't allow it, we provide severance pay and additional allowances such as health care and career transition services," he concluded.

Decision communications will begin at the beginning of this quarter and the company hopes that the decision will continue until the beginning of the next fiscal year.

Despite being in the midst of macro uncertainty, EA operates from a strong position. At the heart of global football culture, for example, EA SPORTS FIFA 23 is preparing to become the biggest title in the history of the EA football franchise.

Setelah ulang tahun ke-4, performa Apex Legends juga semakin meningkat, dan The Sims memicu imasi dan keterlibatan di seluruh komunitasnya yang semangat.

"I would like to express my deep appreciation to all our employees who have contributed to our extraordinary story so far," concluded Wilson.
