Ferry Irawan Denies Doing Domestic Violence, Venna Melinda: It's Impossible For A Suspect If The Evidence Is Not Strong

JAKARTA - Ferry Irawan, both through his family, his attorney and himself, still insists on not committing domestic violence (KDR) as alleged by Venna Melinda.

Knowing that there was such a rebuttal, Venna Melinda through her attorney, Noor Akhmad Riyadhi, said that she did not care about the many rebuttals. He considered that there were 2 strong initial pieces of evidence so that Ferry was named a suspect.

More than that, Noor Akhmad said the alleged case of domestic violence had been tried at the Kediri City District Court (PN) by reading the indictment from the public prosecutor (JPU), Sigit Artanto Jati from the Kediri City District Attorney.

"Yes, just look at it later during the trial at the East Java Regional Police. The problem is that it is also impossible for the police to determine a suspect, if there is no strong evidence," said Noor Akhmad after undergoing a trial at the South Jakarta Religious Court (PA), Thursday, March 30.

On the same occasion, mentioned the objection from his client regarding Ferry Irawan's defense. Noor Akhmad admitted that the matter would be put into recognition at the divorce suit trial, which would later be answered in response at the time of the upcoming trial.

"We will include that later in the response to the revision. Indeed, the authorities in the indictment do not exist like that, so later we will reply in the answer," he explained.

In addition, regarding Ferry's belongings who are still in Venna Melinda's private residence, Noor Akhmad admitted that his party would return the items, as long as there was a power of attorney directly from the 45-year-old actor.

"Anyway, there is a full car with a small box. But what is clear is that from our client he asked for a power of attorney," said Noor Akhmad.

As previously known, Ferry Irawan was reported by his wife Venna Melinda to the Kediri City Police on suspicion of committing domestic violence in a hotel room in Kediri City on Sunday, January 8, 2023. The report file was then transferred to the Sub-Directorate IV of the Renakta Ditreskrimum of the East Java Police.

After undergoing a number of examinations of victims, witnesses, processing of the crime scene, and collecting evidence, the police named Ferry Irawan as a suspect.

Ferry is suspected of Article 44 and 45 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2004 concerning domestic violence for committing physical and psychological violence against Venna Melinda.
