The Body Of Okky Bisma, SJ-182 Sriwijaya Air Steward Is Handed Over To The Family

JAKARTA - After being identified, one of the bodies of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 crew who fell in the waters of the Thousand Islands on Saturday, January 9, was finally handed over to his family. The handover was made at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.

Okky Bisma was the first passenger identified on Monday, January 11.

"One of the victims is on behalf of Okky Bisma and today the family has agreed that the work results of the DVI Team will be handed over to the family for burial," said Karopenmas of the National Police Headquarters, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono during a press conference at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Thursday, 14 January.

Furthermore, the process of handing over the body was carried out by the Head of the Hospital (Karumkit) Polri Hospital, Birgjen Asep Hendradiana, to the Sriwijaya Air airline.

"On this day, the family is handed over by Sriwijaya Air, hopefully we pray that Alamahrum is accepted by his good deeds, placed in the best side of Allah. We hope that the family who is left behind will be given patience and sincerity," he said.

After that, Sriwijaya Air handed over Okky's body to the victim's family. This was done symbolically through letters related to Okky wrapped in red folders.

It is known that the National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team managed to identify Okky Bisma through fingerprints on his body which were compared with the electronic identity card data (e-KTP) obtained from the Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Previously, the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane on the Jakarta-Pontianak route had lost contact in the Thousand Islands shortly after taking off from Soekarno Hatta Airport on Saturday, January 9, 2020. Furthermore, the authorities provided certainty if the plane crashed in the vicinity of Laki and Pulau Lancang, Thousand Islands.

The total aircraft carried 62 people, including 12 crew members and 50 passengers consisting of 40 adult passengers, seven children and three babies.

Apart from Okky, currently five other people have been identified. They are Fadly Satrianto, Khasanah, Asy Hasbul Yamin, Agus Minarni, and Indah Halimah Putri.
