PALEMBANG - A suspect in the murder case died after banging his head repeatedly against the walls of the Babat Supat Police detention cell, Musi Banyuasin (Muba), South Sumatra."The tragic incident carried out by the suspect with the initials MKN (36) took place on the evening of Tuesday, March 28," said Head of the Muba Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Dwi Rio Andrian to reporters in Sekayu, Muba, Antara, Wednesday, March 29.According to him, the body of the suspect MKN was taken to the hospital for an external examination, where the results were found on the head. Currently, MKN's body has been handed over to the family for burial.MKN, who is a resident of Hamlet V, Letang Village, Babat Supat District, Muba, was detained by the Babat Supat Sector Police personnel the day before his death.The detention was carried out after the police named the Constitutional Court as a suspect in the murder of his biological mother and abused his biological father, Monday, March 27 at around 21.30 WIB.The two parents were abused by the suspect using sharp weapons while following the Al-Quran tadarus at the mosque near where he lived."As a result, the PNA mother (61) died and her father MM (64) was seriously injured and is currently undergoing medical treatment at the hospital," he said.In fact, he continued, a police officer who was on duty guarding the detainees, Monday (27/3), also became a victim of the attack on the suspect until he was hospitalized.He explained, based on the results of the police investigator's investigation, the suspect admitted that he was angry with his parents because the suspect's belief book was burned by them."Therefore, the suspect was determined to attack his parents with sharp weapons because he was upset that he was considered to be embracing a deviant sect," said Rio.
