Print History, Donald Trump Faces A Second Impeachment Attempt

JAKARTA - President Donald Trump has become the first president in United States history, as the first president to face a two-time impeachment attempt. This was confirmed in a vote conducted in the US House of Representatives.

In a vote conducted on Wednesday January 13 local time, 232 votes agreed to the proposed impeachment attempt, compared to 197 votes that rejected it. Interestingly, there were 10 Republicans who were Trump supporters agreeing to impeachment.

Donald Trump faces the impeachment attempt on serious charges, inciting his supporters to revolt in the riots that broke out on Capitol Hill on Wednesday last week.

"The president of the United States instigated this uprising, an armed uprising against our common country. He has to go. He clearly presents a danger to our beloved nation," said US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as reported by Reuters.

After it has been agreed in the US House of Representatives, this impeachment proposal will then be brought to the US Senate which will hold a discussion session, whether this impeachment can be continued or not.

As for the names of Republican politicians who also agreed to this proposal, namely Fred Upton, Liz Cheney, Peter Meijer, Anthony Gonzalez, Tom Rice, David Valadao, Adam Kinzinger, John Katko, Jaime Herera Beutler and Dan Newhouse.
