Candidate For Chief Of Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit, Asks For Prayers And Community Support
JAKARTA - Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, asked for prayers and support from the public so that the fit and proper test series at the DPR next week can run smoothly.
He said this after President Joko Widodo was appointed as the sole candidate for the National Police Chief.
"Thank you for your support and support, please pray for the fit and proper test series," said Komjen Sigit as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 13.
Previously, President Jokowi proposed the name Listyo Sigit Prabowo to the DPR as the only candidate for National Police Chief.
"We have received the Surpres in which the President submitted a proposal for the upcoming National Police Chief with a single name, namely Mr. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who is currently Kabareskrim in the Police," said DPR Speaker Puan Maharani.
The surpres numbered: R-02 / Pres / 01/2021 and was conveyed by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno at the Parliament Building, Jakarta, Wednesday.
Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Herman Hery said that the Internal Meeting of Commission III of the DPR RI on Wednesday had decided the schedule for the fit and proper test of the candidate for Chief of Police, Komjen Sigit, to be held on Tuesday (19/1) after previously starting with a paper exam on Monday, January 18
"On Monday (18/1), the National Police candidate will be invited to Commission III of the DPR to write a paper for 1-2 hours, then on Tuesday, January 19, a fit and proper test will be carried out," said Herman.
Herman said from the results of the Commission III internal meeting so far, the majority of the commission members who are in charge of law, human rights and security really hope Listyo Sigit will make various breakthroughs for the Police.
However, he assessed that these expectations depend on the results of the fit and proper test next week. This is because the due diligence test shows Listyo Sigit's commitment in leading the Police.
