MultiVersus Open Beta Closes June 25, Full Launch Planned for 2024

JAKARTA - Player First Games plans to close the MultiVersus Open Beta on June 25. After that, the studio will pause updates and take the game offline as they prepare for the launch of MultiVersus, in early 2024.

"Throughout the Open Beta, we've worked hard to build the best gameplay experience possible, and we appreciate all the inspiration you've given us. Our Open Beta has been an important learning opportunity for us and a stepping stone into the next phase of MultiVersus," said the co-founder and CEO of Player First Games, Tony Huynh in his latest blog.

Huynh feels there is still a lot of work to be done, in particular a new rhythm of character content, maps and modes to give players more ways to experience the game, along with updated netcodes and more matchmaking improvements.

"We will also be reworking the progression system based on your feedback and looking for new ways for you to connect with your friends in the game," explained Huynh.

"To do this the right way, we will be closing MultiVersus Open Beta on June 25, 2023."

So, during this downtime, all online modes and features will be unavailable for play. You will have limited offline access to the training room, otherwise known as The Lab. You'll also still be able to enter local matches, along with access to your character and cosmetic items.

All updates and content will also carry over to their full launch next year, with "a range of new content, features and modes" planned for the latter.

Furthermore, my Season 2 Battle Pass will also end on June 25, with daily missions available on the same day. However, Weekly Seasonal Achievements will not refresh after March 31st.

Let's look forward to more details about the MultiVersus game ahead of its future launch.
