After Jokowi, 13 Thousand North Jakarta Health Workers Immediately Got Vaccinated

As many as 13 thousand health workers on duty in the North Jakarta City area were vaccinated for the first COVID-19 which will be held starting Thursday, January 14 in 86 health facilities.

"As many as 13 thousand North Jakarta health workers will be vaccinated against COVID-19 from Sinovac starting Thursday, January 14 tomorrow," said Head of North Jakarta City Administration Health Office Yudi Dimyati in a press release from the North Jakarta City Government, reported by Antara.

Yudi said that the number of 13 thousand health workers who were vaccinated for the first time only covered 80 percent of the total medical personnel on duty in North Jakarta.

All health workers who will be vaccinated have gone through the screening process as potential vaccine recipients.

Health workers who are the recipients of this initial vaccine, consist of doctors, midwives, nurses, to skilled workers in health facilities such as administrative to security personnel.

"We have prepared 82 locations for health facilities (health facilities) that serve the COVID-19 vaccination in North Jakarta," he said.

Yudi said the 82 locations consist of six sub-district health centers, 42 sub-district health centers, five regional public hospitals (RSUD), 31 private hospitals (RS), to a number of TNI-Polri clinics and the Port Health Office (KKP).

For the current readiness of implementing the COVID-19 vaccine, said Yudi, potential vaccination recipients are entering the registration number or code obtained through the Short Message Service (SMS) from the Health Social Security Administration (BPJS) into the PeduliLindung application.

"In this application, prospective vaccination recipients are free to choose the schedule and location of the desired health facilities," he said.

Each health facility has a quota of 60 vaccinations per day. It is estimated that the vaccination will be completed in February 2021.

"The first phase is targeted to be completed by the end of February 2021," said Yudi.

A number of health facilities in North Jakarta have conducted simulations on the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination. This vaccination is confirmed to implement strict health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
