This Is The Profile Of Abdul Muthalib, The Doctor Who Injected The Vaccine Into Jokowi
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was injected with the COVID-19 vaccine from Sinovac, at the State Palace, Wednesday, January 13.
What's interesting about this process is the story of Deputy Chief Medical Officer Abdul Muthalib who injected this vaccine into Jokowi's body. His hands seemed to shake when he was in charge of injecting this vaccine.
"Because he was the first person in Indonesia. But that problem did not become an obstacle for me in the injection. At the injection it was not a problem, no longer shaking when the injection was made. At first it was a bit shaking," he said.
"Earlier, it was smooth, there was no problem. In fact, there was no bleeding at all at the injection site," said Abdul.
Prof. Abdul Muthalib, SpPD-KHOM is a Medical Oncology Consultant Hematology Specialist who actively serves patients at Mayapada Hospital, South Jakarta, Gading Pluit Hospital, and Medistra Hospital.

His interest in internal medicine, especially Hematology and Oncology, led him to become a Professor in the University of Indonesia.
He studied medicine at the University of Indonesia graduating in 1969. In 1980 he took a specialist in Internal Medicine. Subsequently, he became a consultant medical hematology-oncologist at FKUI / RSCM in 1986.
Some of his scientific works on breast cancer were published in the Japanese Journal of Cancer and Chemotherapy in 2000.
The man who was born on January 3, 1945 is also actively writing books about breast cancer treatment. In 1999 he was awarded the Asian Clinical Oncology Society.
He is a member of the International Society of Hematology (ISH) and the International Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ASTH) until now, as a Supervisor.

Some of the results of scientific work in the form of books are the Principles of Monitoring Outpatient Cancer Patients in 1997 and Therapy on Palliative Care. A guidebook for healthcare workers: Palliative and pain-free care in cancer, 2003.
In 1999 he was awarded the Asian Clinical Oncology Society.
