Bogor Residents Who Enter The Black Zone Prone To Disasters Will Be Relocated

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government, West Java is targeting a settlement construction plan for the relocation of hundreds of residents at 11 disaster-prone locations, some of which have entered the black zone or areas that are very prone to disasters, which will be completed in the next three to four months.

"We will relocate the black zone and those that have occurred in the disaster. The land is being prepared," said Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie Abdul Rachim, quoting Antara, Sunday, March 26.

Dedie said that the relocation land had been prepared in Pamoyanan Village, South Bogor District from the detention assets belonging to the Bogor City Government. Meanwhile, the construction will receive assistance from the central government.

"Then how is the construction we cooperate with BNPB, including the Ministry of PUPR, as well as the Ministry of Social Affairs to carry out the relocation of the builder faster. God willing, in three to four months it may be completed. The location is in South Bogor, Pamoyanan," he said.

He also explained that the relocation was aimed at all residents who were registered in disaster-prone locations spread across 11 urban villages in six sub-districts in their area.

The plan to relocate hundreds of residents to Pamoyanan Village, South Bogor District has been discussed since the landslide that killed four of the eight victims of landslides in Gang Barjo, RT03/RW03 Kebon Jahe Village, Kebonkelapa Village, Central Bogor District, Bogor City on Wednesday (12/10/2022).

The landslide incident that became the attention of Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen PUPR) at that time made the relocation plan focused.

Following that, five months later, landslides of railroad retaining cliffs (TPT) hit five houses in RT07/RW04, Sirna Sari Village, Empang Village, South Bogor District, Bogor City, West Java on Tuesday (14/3) at 23.00 WIB. In this incident, six victims were killed out of a total of 17 victims.

Dedie also said that some residents had been relocated. At the location of the landslide in Empang, 150 residents have been facilitated to move houses and houses where they were originally demolished.
