Tancap Gas, DPR Commission III Feasibility Test For Candidates For National Police Chief Tuesday, January 19

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has submitted the name of Kabareskrim, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to the DPR as a candidate for National Police Chief to replace General Idham Azis who is entering retirement.

Following up on this, Commission III of the DPR immediately took quick steps. This legal commission will immediately conduct a fit and propertest or due diligence and compliance on Tuesday, January 19. This is in accordance with the decision of the DPR Commission III internal meeting.

"On Monday, January 18, the National Police chief candidates will be invited to Commission III of the DPR to write a paper for 1-2 hours, then on Tuesday (19/1) a fit and proper test will be conducted," said Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Herman Hery after chairing the Commission's Internal Meeting. III DPR at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 13.

He explained, prior to the feasibility test and the preparation of a paper by the National Police Chief, Commission III of the DPR will hold a General Hearing Meeting (RDPU) by inviting the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) and the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) on Thursday, January 14 tomorrow.

According to him, the RDPU was aimed at soliciting input from the two institutions regarding the National Police candidate that President Jokowi had submitted to the DPR for approval.

Herman said that the due diligence of the National Police chief candidates would be carried out using a 2x2.5 hour mechanism, which will start on Tuesday, January 19 at 10.00 WIB.

"The feasibility test will begin at 10.00 WIB with a pattern of 2x2.5 hours. So at 10.00 WIB it starts until 12.30 WIB, then resting and at 14.00 WIB it starts again until 16.30 WIB," he said.

The PDI Perjuangan politician hopes that after the due diligence test ends, the DPR Commission III can immediately make a decision whether to accept or reject the candidate for Chief of Police proposed by President Jokowi.

Previously, the DPR RI received a Presidential Letter regarding the name of the candidate for Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia on behalf of Komjen Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The Surpres numbered: R-02 / Pres / 01/2021 and was conveyed by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno at the Parliament Building.
