Eliminated In The First Round Of Thailand Open, Ruselli Determined To Improve His Performance

JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's singles badminton player, Ruselli Hartawan, is determined to improve his performance so that he is not easily beaten by opponents while at the same time obtaining better results in subsequent tournaments.

In the first round match of the Thailand Open 2021 which was held at Impact Arena, Bangkok, Ruselli was immediately eliminated after being beaten by the host's representative Supanida Katethong with a score of 14-21, 16-21.

"There is a lot that needs to be improved. I have to improve my defense, I have to be closer together so that it is not easily penetrated by opponents, "Ruselli said as quoted by Antara on the official PBSI website, Wednesday.

According to the 23-year-old woman, the defeat she experienced in the first Thailand Open was due to her inconsistent playing pattern from the start. In addition, Ruselli also admitted that it was difficult to get out of the pressure his opponent was constantly putting on.

"The difficulties I faced earlier, have followed the opponent's game pattern from the start. I can't play consistently with my own pattern. I also find it difficult to get out of the pressure he (Katethong), so my game continues, "said Ruselli.

From this defeat, the athlete who came from the Jaya Raya Jakarta club also intended to improve his performance. Apart from tightening up the defense, he also intends to play bolder and attack a lot.

"In the future, I have to play more courageously. Apart from that, I also shouldn't make many mistakes myself when I compete, ”said Ruselli.
