Allegedly Drunk, A Man From Palembang DIEd By His Own Colleague In Tanah Abang

JAKARTA - PW, 39, from Palembang, South Sumatra, died after being stabbed and slit in the neck by BI, 40 years old. This murder case occurred on Jalan Jatibaru Raya, RT 02 RW 01, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

"The perpetrator and the victim were previously involved in an argument and both were affected by drinking liquor (Miras)," said Tanah Abang Metro Police Chief Commissioner (Kompol) Patar Mula Bona when contacted Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Bona said that the two of them had been broken up by one of her friends with the initials I. However, the quarrel did not end and the two got into a fight.

"The victim was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) but his life could not be saved," he said.

Separately, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kanit Reskrim) of the Tanah Abang Metro Police, Police Commissioner (Kompol) Kukuh Islami said the victim suffered stab wounds to the back and cuts to the neck.

"We have found the identity of the perpetrator and we are still pursuing the perpetrator. The cause of the commotion between the victim and the perpetrator is alcohol," he concluded.
