Jokowi: Thank You For Being Vaccinated Together With Me

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and a number of people gave their first injection of the COVID-19 vaccine at the State Palace, Wednesday, January 13.

After giving the vaccine, Jokowi thanked all those who took part in this process. Among them, representatives from the health sector, religious representatives, market traders, businessmen, hunters, teachers and health workers.

"Thank you for working with me earlier on the vaccine," said Jokowi, broadcast on the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat, Wednesday, January 13.

Jokowi mentioned a number of representatives, including the Indonesian Doctors' Association, the Indonesian Ulama Council, Muhammadiyah figures, Nahdlatul Ulama figures, the Indonesian Teachers' Association, the Indonesian National Virgin Association, the Indonesian Midwives Association, the Indonesian Churches Association, the Indonesian Bishops' Conference, Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia, Permabudhi, and the Indonesian High Council of Confucian Religion.

"There was Narti, vegetable traders inpres Gading were also present, there were also nurses, also from the DKI Jakarta Health Office and others," said Jokowi.

He added, after this vaccine was carried out, vaccination would be continued in all provinces throughout the country.

Jokowi added that the COVID-19 vaccination from Sinovac had received permission from the BPOM and the MUI had also issued a halal fatwa.

"This COVID vaccination is important to break the chain of transmission of the corona virus and provide health protection to us and safety, security for all of us, the Indonesian people and help economic recovery," said Jokowi.

However, Jokowi warned that even though vaccinations had been carried out, discipline on health protocols had to be carried out, namely wearing masks, washing hands, keeping your distance and avoiding crowds.

"I also express my gratitude to Abdul Muthalib who had injected me with the vaccine," said Jokowi.
