Judul Sementara Album Anyar Megadeth; The Sick, The Dying And The Dead
JAKARTA - Dave Mustaine has revealed the title of Megadeth's new album, which is currently in the works.
While appearing in the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp masterclass session last Saturday, Mustaine explained the progress of making the follow-up album Dystopia (2016).
"The tentative album title that we have right now is called The Sick, The Dying And The Dead. We can change it, because there are several other titles, and I usually change the title four or five times before I decide on anything," Mustaine said as quoted from Blabbermouth. , Wednesday, January 13th.
Meanwhile last month, Megadeth bassist David Ellefson told Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM that Mustaine is still preparing his vocals and guitar tracks for the new album.
"Dirk (Verbeuren, drums) and I did our job in May and June, and then Dave and Kiko (Loureiro, guitar) filled in the parts, then to vocals, etc., etc.," he said. "So, this is going well, actually."
Asked if Mustaine had a problem singing in the studio after his nearly six month battle with throat cancer in 2019, here is Ellefson's answer.
"No, it didn't appear."
In October, Mustaine told the radio show The Five Count that Megadeth's new album would probably be one of the most ferocious records they've made since Rust In Peace.
"David Ellefson, he's a pretty good barometer, and when he did his bass fill, he (said), 'Man, my arm is killing me. I can't believe this,'" Mustaine said.
In a separate interview with SiriusXM, Mustaine said that the upcoming Megadeth album will stand alongside Countdown To Extinction, Rust In Peace and possibly Peace Sells and Dystopia.
The early work sessions for this album took place in 2019 with fellow producer Chris Rakestraw, who previously worked on Dystopia.
Dystopia itself - which won a 2017 Grammy award in the category Best Metal Performance marked Loureiro's recording debut with Megadeth.
