Give Discounts Of IDR 7 Million Per Electric Motorcycle, Sri Mulyani: Only Two Years Valid
JAKARTA - The government has launched a program to accelerate Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles (KBLBB) in the form of government assistance and fiscal incentives. Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government's assistance was in the form of a discounted price of Rp. 7 million for the purchase of new electric motors or conversions.
"In addition to support, namely, government assistance for new wifey motorcycles and conversions. Previously, fiscal policy and fiscal incentives for the motor and electric car factory industry provided additional government assistance for electric motors. The value of assistance is Rp. 7,000,000 per unit for new electric motors and conversions," Sri Mulyani explained in a press conference quoted on Tuesday, March 21.
According to Sri Mulyani, for government assistance of Rp. 7,000,000 per unit, this new electric motor and conversion only apply for two years, namely 2023 to 2024.
"This assistance only applies to two years, namely 2023 to 2024 for 1 million new electric motors and conversions. Thus, the total budget requirement is IDR 7 trillion, namely for 2023, it will be estimated that 200 thousand electric motors and conversion motors will be converted as much as 50 thousand conversions, so that the budget required is IDR 1.75 trillion. In 2024, 600 thousand new motors and electric motors and 150 thousand motors are converted with a budget of 5.25 trillion," said Sri Mulyani.
The government's assistance for the new electric motor is managed by the Ministry of Industry, while for conversion motors is carried out by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. For beneficiaries of new electric motors, they will be given to MSMEs receiving KUR, productive recipients of micro-enterprises and wage subsidy assistance and as well as government electricity subsidies 450 - 900 VA. There are no restrictions for conversion motors.
Representing the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Special Staff of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources for the Acceleration of Industrial Development of the ESDM Sector Agus Tjahajana stated that one of the implementations of this program is the conversion to reduce fuel, support reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing pertalite consumption and is expected to reduce the cost of two-wheeled motorists.
